Metal Paint its Types and Functions with Brushes

Certain requirements are imposed on any paint and varnish material. It all depends on the field of activity where the metal surface will be used.

If the metal will be used where the temperature is elevated, then a heat-resistant paint brush and varnish material is needed for it. If ordinary paint is used, then the painted layer will quickly lag behind the metal. Pipes, ovens, car parts that are heated are covered with heat-resistant paint or high-temperature enamel , which has an antiseptic and antibacterial effect.

The properties of the fire retardant paint are remarkable . This type of material does not allow combustion products to pass inside; when the critical temperature is reached, the composition expands and all kinds of micro-holes are completely excluded. It is used to protect air ducts, reinforced concrete and steel structures.

Tinting of paints and varnishes.
Tinting is a method of making paints and varnishes by adding pigment pastes to base paints ( binders) according to special formulations to obtain paints and varnishes ( LKM) of a certain color. This method is used for the rapid preparation of paints with a wide range of colors directly at points of sale.

The tinting process can be conditionally divided into several stages:

-Selection of color and material for tinting.

-Calculation of the recipe (the number of pastes required to obtain the selected shade).

-Accurate dosing of pastes in the base paint.

-Careful mixing of dosed pastes with base paint.

A tinting system is a complex of materials, technologies and equipment that allows the production of colored paints and varnishes by tinting. Which includes:

1. Base paints - set the basic properties of paintwork materials and may differ in binder ( alkyd, epoxy, acrylic, polyurethane, thixotropic, silicone, silicate, latex, hydrophobic, etc.), base ( water- or solvent-borne), protective functions ( resistance to UV rays, water resistance, weather resistance, wear resistance, anti-corrosion), versatility ( 3 in 1 , primer-enamel , abrasion resistance, durability), etc.

2. Pigment pastes - are concentrates of pigments of a given color tone, coloring power and rheology.

3. Color formulations and software - contain data on which pigment pastes and in what quantity must be added to base paints to obtain a certain shade of paintwork materials. The software allows you to quickly obtain a recipe for the required shade, calculate its cost and control the operation of tinting equipment.

4. Color recipes and software - contain data on which pigment pastes and in what quantity must be added to base paints to obtain a certain shade of paintwork materials. The software allows you to quickly obtain a recipe for the required shade, calculate its cost and control the operation of tinting equipment.
