Overview of Casio G-Shock GMW Titanium

Based on facts either observed and verified by a reporter first-hand, or reported and confirmed from knowledgeable sources.

(Pocket-lint) - Casio has unveiled a limited edition G-Shock inspired by the power suits worn in sci-fi video games.

The G-Shock GMW-B5000TVA-1 Titanium Virtual Warriors comes in an all-metal case with cut-out elements that show through the red interior for added effect.

The case, bezel and strap are crafted from lightweight yet durable titanium with laser-engraved details for an industrial futuristic look.

It has a diamond-like carbon coating on the case and strap for added protection, while the retro display features a geometric pattern printed on the glass. It replaces the regular brick pattern with similarly styled G-Shocks.

Flexible screen technology is new, and Samsung is leading the way. Now that foldable phones are becoming the mainstay of today's technology landscape, it seems like the company is looking to expand that direction. According to Let's Go Digital, Samsung has patented a smartwatch with a slide-out display.

SAMSUNG FOLDABLE SMARTWATCHES WILL GROW IN SIZE.
One problem with smartwatches is that screens can often be too small. It really limits the amount of information displayed on the screen. To solve this problem, Samsung patented a smartwatch with a slide-out display.

This smartwatch will have a regular round design, but if you want a bigger screen, you can expand it vertically. Your watch face will acquire a significant share of real estate (about 40% more).

Samsung's foldable smartwatch will consist of two semi-circular bezels that will separate when expanded. When the screen is expanded, it will surely give you access to more features.

THIS WATCH WILL ALSO HAVE A CAMERA.
Looking at the patent images, we see another interesting feature of Samsung's foldable smartwatch. When the clock is unfolded and the two bezels are separated, they will show the camera right in the middle of the clock.

This will mean that the camera will be hidden. According to the report, this camera will be able to take both photos and videos. We cannot expect any great performance from this camera, because not only is it very small, but display camera technology is still evolving.

Since this is just a patent, we cannot say for sure if we will ever see this device. Samsung applied for this patent back in July this year and we haven't had any leaks or rumors pointing to an official device.
