In addition to announcing the Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pocket global variants, Huawei also unveiled new smartwatches today. Huawei Watch GT Runner is the name, and it's quite an interesting piece of technology.
This smartwatch is “designed to help professional runners achieve their goals,” says Huawei. This smartwatch looks like a sporty variant of the Huawei Watch 3, in other words, it looks pretty stylish.

You will notice that there are two pushers on the right side and the top one serves as a rotating crown. The display is quite large and it's a round bezel. It is a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels.
The watch is made of durable polymer fiber and comes with a silicone strap (black or grey). Huawei Watch Runner GT supports Huawei TruSeen 5.0+ heart rate monitoring and TruSport professional running training system.
The watch case weighs only 38.5 grams, and the aforementioned silicone strap actually has antibacterial properties. The watch is also equipped with five major satellite systems: GPS + Beidou + GLONASS + Galileo + GZSS.

It also has a built-in Dual-Band Five-System GNSS positioning chip with a suspended hidden antenna. Huawei says the new watch design improves GPS antenna performance by 135 percent.

The company also claims that this watch can provide up to 14 days of battery life in smart mode under typical usage scenarios. It can also provide up to 8 days of battery life with heavy use.
The watch is equipped with more than 100 sports modes, all-day SpO2 monitoring, sleep and stress monitoring, and hard life reminders such as drinking water, deep breathing, going to bed early and so on.
The watch also has a built-in altitude barometer, compass function and more. The watch comes pre-installed with HarmonyOS 2.1.

One of the advantages of the model is its screen. The device is slightly narrower in width than the Watch 2 Lite, due to which it looks more elegant and neat. Despite the smaller screen area, the image quality of the Smart Band Pro outperforms the second novelty.
The 1.47-inch full-size AMOLED touchscreen delivers an ultra-high 66.7% screen-to-body ratio. The display shows more items and makes it easy to switch between them.
The device covers 100% NTSC color gamut, has 8-bit color depth and a maximum brightness of up to 450 nits, comparable to that of budget smartphones. Thanks to these characteristics, the screen is clearly visible even in bright daylight. The display is protected by 2.5D tempered glass.
The smartwatch is very lightweight: it weighs only 15 g. The case and strap will only be available in black.
HARDWARE AND COMMUNICATIONS
Just like the Watch 2 Lite, the new model is compatible with smartphones running Android 6.0 and iOS 10.0 and higher. The smartwatch is powered by an Apollo 3.5 processor and supports Bluetooth version 5.0 with low energy consumption.
The novelty is equipped with an expanded set of sensors: 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, heart rate and blood oxygen level, as well as a light sensor.
